This adapter provides 15 amp convenience power with Ground Fault Protection from your 30 amp locking shore power receptacle. It will protect people from the hazards of line-to-ground electrical current leakage that can occur in electrical appliances and tools, especially when used in a wet or damp location such as a marina, boat yard or construction site.

If a ground fault occurs and the leakage exceeds 4-6 milliamperes, the unit will quickly interrupt the power supply and limit the duration of the shock. A "must have" device for using AC tools on the dock.
