If your boat is used in both salt and tidewater environments for extended periods, aluminum is the best all around choice.

This kit includes a versatile Diver's Dream Anode and a wiring kit and thru-hull bolt. It allows boaters with sterndrives to connect a large surface area anode to the engine via the supplied wire for uncompromised protection.
In a typical sterndrive installation, the supplied thru-hull bolt is wired directly to the main grounding bolt on the engine, and a second wire is attached to the gimbal bolt.

This kit may be especially useful in environments, such as large marinas, where the possibility of stray current statistically increases, and many traditional anode systems can prove inadequate
