Outback's robust VFX Series of inverter/chargers is designed for relatively protected installations. By utilizing an efficient active cooling design, the VFX models are available with AC outputs of up to 3600 watts. The tough die-cast aluminum chassis physically protects the internal components while the air intake includes an easily cleaned filter which seals out debris and bugs. The standard DC wiring cover (shown) protects the DC terminals and battery cables from damage. The required AC input neutral/ground switching is taken care of by a fully integrated, super-fast (16 msec) 30 amp AC transfer switch for seamless shorepower or generator integration. Built-in networked communication allows for system expansion by simply adding additional inverters in parallel, series, or three-phase power configurations. Computers, TVs and pumps are just some of the examples of modern electronics that last longer and run better when powered with true sine wave electricity.
