Teleflex no longer makes the MV-2 or has any parts available and there's been no support of any kind for several years.
Thanks to the diligence of Steve Dion (Hunter Vision 36 Heather Marie) we have a viable replacement, at last.
Steve reports that the conversion is relatively easy and took him 1 to 1.5 hours. It may require enlarging the hole in the pedestal depending on what what you find when you remove the old MV-2. That is easily accomplished with a keyhole or jig saw.
Please see Steve's article on the conversion.
Several owners have asked about the presence of a neutral button on the new controller. The new neutral button is integrated into the hub of the lever. What appears to be a screw in the photo is actually the button the you pull or depress to put the boat in our out of gear.
The cable brake adds a little tension to the cable run and helps reduce throttle creep.
